The goal of the “Make the Connection With Others” Sunday School emphasis is to encourage Sunday School members to solidify relationships with people within the church and build new relationships with those outside the walls of the church.
This emphasis moves the influence of Sunday School beyond Sunday into every day, challenging participants to bring the Good News of Christ into everyday life situations, relating to people where they are, and building relationships with them. Establishing trust and building upon that foundation lets others know that the church is genuinely concerned about them – that they’re not just a faceless number to get into the Sunday School. Making a connection with others is hard work, but it’s Kingdom work.
Preparation Materials During the weeks before the emphasis, spend time in prayer, ordering supplies, and planning events.
