Mission To M.A.R.S: Meet A Risen Savior

The story for Mission To M.A.R.S. revolves around Zoom Aerospeed and his sister, Twila, who are trying to Meet A Risen Savior. Both are recruited by NASA to travel to Mars on a real interplanetary space adventure. Their journey is closely monitored by Mission Control, who is helping them to keep their eyes on the goal before them. Daily Bible stories about the ministry of Paul are shared with the Mission Specialists by Captain Rex of Mission Control. His job is to carefully guide our Flight Crew toward the final mission of Meeting a Risen Savior. Each day at Mission Control, the Mission Specialists (kids) follow the out-of-this-world adventures of Zoom and Twila.

This exciting space adventure includes daily skits for early childhood children featuring Sid – the superintelligent dog – and his best friend, Simon, in Sid and Simon’s Mission to M.A.R.S. Each daily skit includes Sid and Simon’s adventures followed by the Launch Pad Bible story time. Each daily Bible story features a concept from a Bible story about the ministry of Paul. During the week, the Bible stories introduce the children to Jesus and lead them to Meet the Risen Savior. Four sessions are followed by an outreach event, Blast Off!, where children are challenged to bring family and friends to celebrate Jesus with them.

There is also amazing music to go along with this fantastic theme. Dave Clark and his Nashville team have written 6 new songs for Mission to M.A.R.S.  His songwriting credits cross musical boundaries, from contemporary Christian to southern gospel, and include songs recorded by Larnelle Harris, Sandi Patti, Steve Green, 4HIM, Point of Grace, CeCe Winans, and many others. He has written more than thirty musicals and was recently recognized for his twenty-fifth number-one song. And now, he is ready to use his talents for Mission to M.A.R.S. VBS 2011.
