Regardless of where you live in the world, it is easy to think that where you live is the most important place in the world. This is particularly true for children. However, the elementary years are a great time to help the children develop a global perspective, especially in regard to the discipleship efforts around the world.
A wonderful resource is the Mission Education curriculum and the Mission Education reading books. The reading books represent a great way to help all elementary children learn what the Church of the Nazarene is doing in other cultures and countries. All reader books are easily read by all elementary children. The advanced reader books have longer chapters and are geared for middle elementary and preteens. However, the younger children would enjoy hearing the advanced books read to them.
The Church of the Nazarene offers a
Children's Mission Kit and a set of
six mission books. This year’s curriculum and books will be available for purchase after March 2010.
