Ann Downing

PO Box 767
Hendersonville, TN  37077
877-886-1629
AnnsDowning@aol.com

Honorarium is negotiable. Travel expense is required (hotel and either airfare or gas mileage). Contact Ann for exact details for the event.

Learning that every path has a purpose and every mile has a meaning is an easy lesson for no one, and it certainly doesn’t always feel like there is purpose or meaning in those miles. What could possibly be the purpose of a marriage nearly ended by divorce? After restoration, how could there be any meaning in becoming a widow at the age of 46? The literal loss of everything, including dreams… are meaning and purpose found there? These “Skidmarks on the Road of Life” are situations and circumstances we can’t fix.

In her new book, Skidmarks on the Road of Life, Ann shares her journey to the knowledge that God will take the missteps and mistakes of our lives and weave them into a personal map of purpose and meaning… but we first must remove ourselves from the driver’s seat. Ann’s experiences taught her that we can truly do nothing alone. It is only through the help of a good God and our willingness to reach out to trusted sources for help that we can live the truly abundant life God intended. Whether singing or speaking, Ann always shares how God has lead her on this journey and the songs she has written or chosen to sing are part of her repertoire because they speak to the lessons learned through the skidmarks and to the faithfulness of a Heavenly Father who always cares for His own.

Katie Heid
1008 N. Ball St.
Owosso, MI  48867
989-725-9791
ktheid@hotmail.com
http://www.katieheid.com

Honorarium—Katie is flexible and wishes to work creatively within the budgets of each ministry. Honorarium information must be agreed upon prior to speaking engagement.

Katie Heid always knew she wanted to adopt children…someday. But after being diagnosed with infertility, she realized that “someday” would come sooner than she expected.

Through her pain, Katie developed a deeper understanding of God’s grace – and her place in the family of God. What appeared to be an impossible situation transformed into one of hope and contentment, and eventually led to the adoption of her son.

Katie is a wife, mother, teacher, writer, and speaker. She ministers to women who share her story, and is outspoken about adoption. In addition, she helps women develop a love for Scripture and cultivate a deeper relationship with God.

Katie is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She is a former television reporter and anchor for WLNS in Lansing, Michigan. Currently, she teaches writing and speech courses at Baker College. Katie makes her home in Michigan with her husband and son.

From Heartache to Hope: Our Journey from Infertility to Adoption
Katie and her husband, Bryan, longed for a house full of children. But after several years of medical procedures, disappointing doctor’s appointments, and negative pregnancy tests, they realized babies were not going to come on their timetable. Eventually, God opened their hearts to build their family through adoption. Follow the Heid’s journey from the heartache of infertility to the beauty of adoption.

Hugs and Misses: A Biblical View of a Woman’s Self Esteem

Loving your kids? Piece of cake. Sympathizing with friends? You’ve got their backs. But loving ourselves is more difficult. In its truest form, self esteem is a biblical principle. The Bible calls us to “put on a new self,” but we can only do that by shunning deceptive practices that are contrary to the Word of God. Katie introduces you to a new view of yourself, so you can begin to see yourself as God does.

Overcoming PMS (Perfect Mother Syndrome)
It’s a curse all mothers face. It lasts 30 days and then repeats the cycle the next month. This condition is characterized by irritability, inferiority, and that “fat feeling.” Side effects include a house that’s not “clean enough,” kids that aren’t “involved enough,” and a mom that’s not “good enough” – at least in her eyes. What could induce this much torture? It’s PMS – Perfect Mother Syndrome! The good news is there is a cure.

Do Throw Stones: The Ripple Effect
All it takes is turning on the nightly news to see that the world is full of heartache and overwhelming needs. Is it too optimistic to think one person can change the world for the better?  After all, what difference would it make? Thankfully, we are not asked to save the world. But small acts of kindness done with great love can change it. Katie walks you through practical steps to produce a ripple effect not just here, but throughout eternity as well.

Everyday Princess: How to Feel Like Royalty without Being a Drama Queen
Most women love the feel of a sparkly tiara atop their heads and the fit of a beautiful formal gown. It’s a nice dream, but in reality most women spend their days in sweatpants and their hair pulled up into a baseball cap. Family, work, and other responsibilities can zap a lady’s energy, causing her to feel frumpy instead of foxy. Katie helps you find the balance between work and fun – and lets you express your inner princess too.

“She’s a pain!”  “He’s a jerk!”
Learning to Love (and like) Difficult People
Loving the unlovable is easier said than done. How do you deal with family members, friends, co-workers, church acquaintances, and others who make it challenging to live out Jesus’ command to “love your enemies”? Katie walks through biblical principles to extend God’s love to the difficult people in your life even when it’s the last thing you want to do.

Claudine Stubbs Henry
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

405-514-4489
claudine@heartstringministries.com
www.heartstringministries.com

Honorarium is negotiable, plus travel expenses, based on size and duration of event.

Claudine is the founder of Heartstring Ministries and the author of HELP! I’m Talking and I Can’t SHUT UP! Raised in Henryetta, Oklahoma, she accepted the Lord at a children’s camp when she was seven years old. Claudine will tell you that the motto her family lived by was, “When the church doors open...BE THERE!”

She attended Southern Nazarene University and majored in Christian Education. Since that time, she has worked in almost every area of the church: children and youth director, Sunday School teacher, missions, lay-training, leading worship, directing productions, and writing and teaching the Prayer 101 curriculum for her church.

In 1989 her greatest life experience began...it was during this time that both she and her husband, Larry, began to experience their own personal holocaust. Plagued with unexplainable illness and eventually clinical depression, they had to find a way to serve God and believe in His promises even when it looked as though they were heading for bankruptcy and separation.

Heartstring Ministries is an outgrowth of those years. During that time, Claudine learned as never before the power of prayer, the healing that comes from praise, and the incredible promise of His Word.

She and her husband, Larry, have been married for 28 years. They, along with their son Logan, attend Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.

Claudine loves to customize topics around the theme of your event. She also offers a weekend workshop on prayer entitled PrayerSurge.

Other topics:
Help! I’m Talking and I Can’t Shut Up!—a lighthearted, fun, laugh, and cry storytelling event.
Prayer, Praise, and Promise—discovering intimacy with God
You Have to Fight—stories from the “Great Depression”—Claudine and Larry’s testimony
The Color of Hope—heart holiness and trusting God
The Power of Worship—discerning what God’s Word says about praise and worship
Will He Still Do That?—a biblical look at how to pray for healing

Dr. Carolyn Johnson

FirmFoundation@Cox.net

Lodging and travel expenses - no set honorarium

Carolyn has one mission as a speaker — to ignite a burning desire within listeners to know God in an authentic way. The audience should come ready for fellowship, being in God’s Word, and applying it to their lives.

In Carolyn’s own words: “I realize that people are living lives bombarded with loneliness, hopelessness, busyness, depression, and obsessions. They are facing infidelity, pornography, bankruptcy, physical pain, torn relations, and deaths of many kinds. I believe people are just hungry for God’s Word. I could bring you humor, tear-jerking stories, unending entertainment, even ways to organize your home, garage, and kids’ lives. But GOD has called me to bring to you His Word — and that is the foundation from which I speak.”

In the words of Dr. Janine Metcalf: “God clearly led Carolyn Johnson to us. She spoke and our women have not been the same. The anointing was genuine. Her message was relevant. Her love was obvious. She is a Spirit-filled minister who God is using to help change lives for eternity.”

Carolyn proclaims the message of holiness in a practical and purposeful way. Her messages often include a focus on hope, forgiveness, and allowing Christ to undo the lies of the past. She leads the healing service at the annual Come to the Fire conference for women and serves on the councils for Come to the Fire and Church of the Nazarene Women’s Ministries.

As an educator, Bible study leader, mother of three, you’ll find Carolyn to be a poignant retreat and conference speaker. She is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. She speaks nationally as well as internationally, including Europe, South America, Central America, and Canada. She has spoken in university chapels, on the radio, at conferences, revivals, large district and local church retreats, and luncheons as well as other special women’s events.

Kristen also taught school before pursuing her dream to be a stay-at-home-mom. This changed on October 1, 2009, when she experienced a miscarriage and her dreams were devastated. Because of these crushed hopes and broken dreams, Kristen allowed God to show her how to pursue another "bucket list" dream and wrote a children's book based on the adventures of her dog.

Finding peace in His Word and comfort from those around her, Kristen watched as God turned her miscarriage into a blessing. She has experienced triumph from a tragedy and discovered so many wonderful opportunities to not only share and still teach kids about the world of writing, but more importantly talk and comfort other women facing tragedies and devastation.

Described as having a “rock solid faith and a true heart for the Gospel message,” Christa’s objective is clear, “that the world may know.” Christa was called into the ministry at a very young age. During those impressionable years she ran from that calling out of fear. It wasn’t until the age of 27 and the birth of her daughter that she rededicated her life completely to the Lord and was obedient to what God wanted for her. Since that time, God has opened many doors, and Christa has been ministering to thousands throughout the United States for the last 16 years.

Christa is a nationally known keynote speaker and worship leader for Women’s Ministries and has had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Chonda Pierce, Babbie Mason, and Tammy Trent. She is a sincere speaker that will encourage young and old alike that it is never too late to give your life to Jesus Christ, and that He can give healing, hope, and forgiveness to a wounded heart. Her humorous and touching personal stories will allow your heart to be opened and will draw you closer to the foot of the Cross. You will leave feeling renewed and revived in spirit, desiring a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

As a recording artist and worship leader, her anointed voice prepares your heart to be ushered into the presence of the Holy Spirit. She incorporates new and familiar praise and worship songs and also shares her music in concert.

Christa resides in Clearwater, Florida, with her husband John, daughter Katelyn, and son John Michael.

Christa’s deepest desire is for everyone to experience the love, forgiveness, and healing that only comes from Jesus Christ. Christa’s music ministry continues to take the Light into the world (John 8:12).

Favorite Topics for Conferences and Retreats

The Potter’s Clay – Worthy Vessels
Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror? Has my life turned out like I thought it would? Can the pieces of my life ever be put back together again? Is it too late for me, and what can be done for an old heart like mine? These are just some of the probing questions that Christa presents that will encourage you to take a closer look at your relationship with Jesus Christ. You will walk away knowing and believing that you are a worthy child of God and that He has a very special plan for your life – a plan to bring Him honor and glory, no matter what your past may be.

Sessions Include:
Recognizing That You Are a Chosen Vessel (John 15:16)
Melt Me – The Broken Vessel (Psalms 51:17)
Mold Me – A Soft and Pliable Vessel (Jeremiah 18:1-4)
Fill Me – Preparing the Vessel (Ephesians 6:10-17)
Use Me – A Ready and Willing Vessel (1 Chronicles 28:20)

(This topic works best for a weekend conference or retreat but can also be broken down into a one-hour keynote presentation.)

Following the Cross and Finding Joy
Do you remember the song we used to sing, “I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart”?  Well, I’ve heard it said, “If you really have the joy of the Lord in your heart, you ought to telephone your face and let it know”! Too few Christians are radiating the presence of the Lord in their life. Christa takes a different approach on why so many are following the cross, but so few are experiencing joy. It is her desire that all believers will be able to proclaim the words El Simchah Giyl (pronounced L Sim-Khaw Gheel) which means “God is my exceeding joy.”

Sessions Include:
It’s All in the Attitude (Philippians 2:5)
a)  You Can Be Pitiful and Powerful, But Not Both!  (Romans 12:2)
b)  It’s All in a Word (James 3:9-12) (the tongue)

Where’s The Evidence?

a)  I Surrender Some (Revelations 3:15-17) (being lukewarm)
b)  The Double Agent (Matthew 23:27-28) (hypocrisy)

Trust and Obey, for There’s No Other Way
It’s All Behind You (Romans 8:35-39)

Have a “Mary” Christmas
Mary Magdalene understood the depth of her sin. She came to Jesus unashamed. Each time we see Mary, we see her at the feet of Jesus. She loved Him, and her heart wanted to please Him. For you see, Mary had a love relationship with Him. What is your relationship like with Jesus Christ? Are you still at the level of “what can God do for me”, or are you asking, “What can God do through me”? We are in such a hurry at Christmas time that we can forget that the celebration is all about the birth of our Savior. All of us can be a “Mary” not only at Christmas time, but also all through the year if we take the time to be at His feet and develop a love relationship with the one who gave His life, so that we might live.

(This topic is suited for a Christmas program or a mother & daughter banquet.)

An ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and a Dove Award winning songwriter, Kim McLean’s ministry serves as both worship leader and Bible teacher. She has led a deep level Bible study, The Tuesday Night Prayer Group, since 2001.

A North Carolina native, Kim McLean first heard God’s call to service as a songwriter in her teen years. While Kim McLean’s secular career of songwriting was collecting successes with artists like Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, and Lee Ann Womack, her gospel music career quietly continued to make an impact with her original songs like Sierra’s “No Stone to Throw – The Maggie Song” and Lord Song’s “Stronger For It”. Her songs have been recorded by The Nelsons, The Florida Boys, The Happy Goodmans, and The Martins, including a Song of the Year GMA Award.

Kim completed her bachelor’s degree in 2006 and a master’s degree in 2008 in Biblical Theology from Trevecca Nazarene University and was ordained as an evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene in 2009. Kim McLean has served on the board of the Come to the Fire Conference since its inception, creating the “Come To The Fire” theme song used in churches world-wide, as well as composing, “O The Cross,” the Nazarene Missions International quadrennial theme in 2005.

Using the words of Dr. Nina Gunter at the 2005 General Assembly in Indianapolis as her commission to keep going in ministry, in education, and in God’s call, Kim McLean unapologetically seeks to “not to make the Gospel acceptable…but to make the Gospel available!”

She has been in ministry alongside her husband and daughter over 25 years both in evangelism and pastoring. She is a speaker, song writer, recording artist, producer, and is currently working on her autobiography as well as a devotional book.

Becca Roach Kaminiski is the daughter of Barbara and is a registered song evangelist and speaker. She is a recording artist and currently has a new song released to national radio entitled “Jesus Has Me Now.”

This family’s story is one of fear, faith, and victory. Becca was persuaded to run away from home out of fear for her life and the life of her parents. “God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV). “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Prayer, coupled with faith in God and His promises, brought their family through the fire. “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 NKJV).

Victory comes through faith in God and perseverance. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (1John 5:4 NJKV). This ministry reaches to hurting families and to parents of prodigals.

Karen speaks “with both depth and a winsome sense of humor. Having gone through some tremendously challenging experiences in her life, Karen is one who has learned to weather the storms. I believe that this has brought a powerful dimension to her writing and to her speaking,” according Dr. Timothy B. Pusey, Senior Pastor, Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, Meridian, Idaho.

Having begun her walk with the Lord at an early age, Karen has enjoyed the path God has placed before her. A wife, mother of five, and grandmother of a growing list, Karen has also authored and coauthored several books including the popular A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts (Leafwood Publishers, 2008). She is also the grandparenting columnist for PositivelyFeminine.org.

Life has not been without its bumps in the road. A prodigal child, a developmentally handicapped son, and personal tragedies have challenged her own life. Those challenges taught her to look to God for strength and hope.

Since emptying the nest, Karen and her husband have more time to satisfy their appetite for travel and scuba diving. Many of her illustrations and stories come from their adventures all over the world.

Karen enjoys speaking to groups about spiritual growth, overcoming doubt, finding joy, and encouraging one another. She also likes to tailor her talks to a group’s needs and theme.

Some of her most requested topics are:

My Ship Came in But It’s An ARK!—A humorous look back on Mrs. Noah’s great adventure and what we can learn from it. What would happen if that proverbial ship came in but it was an ark and God was asking you to join the crew?

Jewels in His Crown—based on Zechariah 9:16-17 “...They shall shine in his land as glittering jewels in a crown...” How do we become God’s precious GEMs?

White As Snow—Though your sins be like scarlet, God can wash them white as snow. WHAT? Have you seen the snow around your house? Sure it’s pretty when it first falls but what then? Take a look at what our lives could be if cleansed white as the snows in Antarctica.

SMILE Power!—Encouragement fuels the fires of creativity, perseverance, and ambition. It comforts, consoles, and gives courage. Karen presents her SMILE plan for encouragement and explains how we can transform our world with a ministry of encouragement.

Living Joyfully Ever After—When Cinderella found Prince Charming, he freed her from her wicked stepmother and, as the story goes, she lived happily ever after. Are you living a fairy tale faith—expecting the happily ever after, and finding that life still has its ruts and pitfalls? Karen leads us to the true Prince and helps us see the joy in Christian living.

Christmas Firsts That First Christmas—A journey through the second chapter of Luke, the Christmas story, reveals some of the things that took place for the very first time—the first Christmas carol, the first gift. . .What is the real purpose of our celebration today?

Vessel Ministries is a nationwide speaking and writing ministry based on 2 Corinthians 4:7, We have this treasure in jars of clay... Vessel offers inspiring, spiritually challenging, and contemporary presentations for Christian retreats, seminars, and church-related services. Kathy Slamp’s inspirational and devotional books (eight in print), her study guides, manuals, tapes, and videos offer powerful and varied resources for all audiences.

Kathy’s Christian speaking takes her from coast to coast; and her down-to-earth sincerity and sense of humor endear her to audiences wherever she goes. Her spiritual depth and story telling ability make her someone with whom people easily relate. Before beginning full time speaking, Kathy taught in public schools at all levels (kindergarten - college) as well as serving as a high school assistant principal.

A Vessel of Honor—God has no method to reveal His love to a hurting, dying world than through us. This message (2 Cor. 4:7) encourages people to have confidence in their vessels in order to share the amazing treasure--which is: Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Between the Devil & the Deep Red Sea—Based on the life of Moses and the Exodus, this message helps audiences understand that when they are at their ultimate extremities and in an impossible situation, that is when God can work a miracle.

“I Choose Joy” or A River Runs Under It—Suffering or pain in some form is an integral part of everyone’s life. This message teaches that joy is not fabricated, but is accessed through our pain. Underneath all pain, there can be a river of “joy in the Lord” despite circumstances. As Christians, we can make a volitional choice to “choose joy!” And with that, comes a flood of God’s blessings. This message is one of the biggest encouragements to audiences during these days!

You’ve Got Dad’s Hands—This message (John 14) helps listeners see that although the world cannot see the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit, His spirit can be seen in our lives. The life of the spirit is not what is seen, but what is felt through our spirits.

The Little Orange Boat—The church in America is so blessed that it’s difficult for us to realize that people are floundering and dying all around us. In 2003 Kathy witnessed a spectacular rescue at sea. In this message Kathy blends her knowledge of the scriptures with her unique storytelling style, and augments them with graphic photos of this incident. This message is a stirring challenge to the church to get out of our “luxury liner” churches with all the opulence and beauty, get into the lifeboats, and “rescue the perishing.”

The Glory Hole—Based on Psalm 92, this message focuses on the need for God’s continued “anointing” on our lives. Yesterday’s blessings were for then, but He has glory and blessing available to us now. This message is a great source of encouragement and blessing to audiences. From “glory to glory,” He’s changing me!

Dealing with Stress in an Uptight World—This message addresses the stresses and pressures that confront us daily and gives us clear scriptural answers for them. It reveals the cycle of despair and the pattern of discouragement that we can fall prey to when we are not well-rested both physically and in the Lord. (It is one of Kathy’s most requested messages.)

So! This Is What I Get for Being Loyal!—From the parable of the prodigal son, this message focuses on the older brother. Many Christians today are doing many right things for a lot of the wrong reasons. This message reminds us that when our hearts aren’t pure, we can become victims of bitterness, resentment, and a judgmental attitude. It’s, then, impossible for us to “Come to the Party.”

Heaven? I’m Going There! What’s this life all about anyway?—We know that there is a better place, but life sidetracks us, and we soon forget about God’s promise of heaven. This “scripture-packed” message about heaven will bless, challenge, and inspire the hearer to keep focused on our ultimate goal--heaven--the joy of being with Jesus and the thrill of taking others with us.

When the Door Slams on Your Hand In the adventure called life; we suffer hurts, burns, and disastrous surprises!—Sometimes, we are hurt by one we love; or we might get “burned” by a careless mistake of our own making; and then occasionally, circumstances come crashing down around us unexpectedly and seemingly out of our control. It is only with God’s help that we can effectively deal with life’s hurts, burns, and disasters.  To be victorious, we must meet each of them with authenticity, courage, and grace. Using several humorous personal antidotes and Scriptures from Romans 12 and II Cor. 4, Kathy weaves a dramatic and poignant real-life message that will stir the heart of any listener.

Susan has been called to "go and make disciples", whether over a cup of coffee (plus something chocolate), teaching a Sunday school class, leading Women's ministries, speaking, or writing.  In addition to writing for various publications, her Bible study, CASTING CALL, is due for release in Spring of 2011.  She has been described as a powerful, transparent, and anointed speaker.  She has a gift for making the Bible apply to everyday life, because God usually speaks to her somewhere between making a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich and the dry cleaners.  It is her desire to help others experience God and His Word in a very personal, practical, and powerful way.

Susan's topics include:
Hearing God's Gentle Whispers- based on the life of Elijah/Spiritual disciplines
Imperfect Praise- learning that we don't have to be perfect to serve and be loved by God
Packing Up Baby Jesus- good for a December or January event
Love One Another- good for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day
Joy in Serving- good for pastor's wives or those in any type of ministry
