Church of
the Nazarene statistics reveals that most of our churches average less
than 100 in attendance. Single adults attend some of these churches. How
does a small church provide a specific ministry to single adults? Will
they attend if there are less than 10 people present?
One
response to this dilemma is to network with other churches in the
community to provide Single Adult Ministries (SAM). In some areas, this
may mean combining with other Nazarene churches and in others forming a
trans-denominational SAM. Here are guidelines to help create a
multi-church SAM.
1. Start by talking with your pastor or
appropriate staff member. Share your vision for this ministry and how it
can result in church growth. One question you may hear will relate to
possibility that participants will change churches. Share your
experience or the following information.
