Klaus and Martina Arnold
Serving in Northern Europe as Sponsored Deployment | Eurasia
Klaus and Martina Arnold are missionaries in the Church of the Nazarene since March 1993. Since that time they have been assigned to European Nazarene College (EuNC). Both have served in various positions at EuNC: From the beginning Klaus has been a teacher at EuNC, then added the responsibility of Administrative Manager (1998-2005), and since 2005 he serves as Rector of the college. Martina served in the areas of music, food services, and housekeeping at the school, and now serves as administrative assistant and office manager. Both of them have been involved in local church ministries (pastoring three Nazarene churches) and in 1994 planted the Gottmadingen Church of the Nazarene (while serving as pastor of the Büsingen College Church of the Nazarene). Klaus is an ordained elder since 1991 and Martina has been ordained as elder in 2014. Both hold their credentials at the Germany district. Martina and Klaus were students at EuNC (here they met each other and got married and their first daughter, Dorothee, was born in that time). Klaus continued his studies at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City (1985-1988). The second daughter (Kathrin) was born in Kansas City. In 2016 Klaus finished his Ph.D. at the University of Manchester in England (through Nazarene Theological College). Dorothee is married to Rev. Jacob Morris. They have two children (Elias, 6 and Miriam, 4) and serve as missionaries on the Eurasia Region (refugee ministry). Kathrin works as a financial accountant for a company that is commissioned by the German government. For more information on the ministry of European Nazarene College see the website www.eunc.edu.
Going Where the Church is Not Yet
Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
