Anderson, Dan and Melody - Uganda

Dan and Melody Anderson are Commissioned missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene in Uganda.

The Andersons both attended and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University. Dan received the B.A. degree in Philosophy/Religion in 1976.  Melody received the B.A. degree in Secondary Education/Home Economics in 1977.

They moved to Kansas City to attend Nazarene Theological Seminary shortly after they were married in 1977.  Dan received the Master of Divinity and also the Master of Arts in Missions in 1981.  Upon graduation, the Andersons began to plant a church in Loomis, California.  They served as pastors until 1985, when they accepted their first missionary assignment to Kenya.

The Andersons served until 1995 in Kisumu, Kenya, where they helped to plant and establish new churches and districts.

In 1995, they were re-assigned to Uganda. They have continued to establish the Church of the Nazarene in Uganda through the training of national district superintendents, district advisory boards, pastors, and lay people.  Dan serves as Mission Coordinator and District Superintendent for a brand new district and Melody serves as Nazarene Bible College of East Africa Teacher-Training Coordinator for the country of Uganda, along with any other missionary responsibilities assigned to them.

The Andersons have two grown children, Becky and Dan Jr., living in California.
